Hatformer is a co-op puzzle platformer in which the player's hats themselves function as platforms. Coordinate with you friend & position accordingly to provide platform-able terrain for each other in order to solve the puzzle!
This quirky co-op game puts a spin on the typical platforming gameplay by making the players function as platforms themselves. Instead of focusing on the execution of platforming, Hatformer places much more emphasis on the positioning of the four controllable characters and the unique function & shape of their hat-platform.
The "top-hat-guy" simply has a hat-platform that extends significantly above his head, where the "sombrero-guy" has a platform that stretches out horizontally to great lengths. The "propeller-hat-guy" on the other hand, has a relatively small hat-platform but can choose to halt their gravity and float midair. Lastly the "bear-hat-guy" also provides a small hat-platform but additionally comes with the ability to move boxes around, which also function as additional platforms.
Together these characters, two each controlled by the players, must be positioned accordingly and have their attributes properly utilized to provide platform-able paths for one another in order to unlock previously inaccessible locations and by extension solve the puzzle.
